The Star Wars World: the Force Will Always Be With You

"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." These few introductory words first appeared on our screens in 1977 and immediately became legend. More than forty years after the release of the first opus of the Star Wars saga, the infatuation of generations of fans is still going strong.

What Is the Star Wars World?

Straight from the imagination of the American director, writer and producer George Lucas, the Star Wars world immediately conquered a whole audience of insatiable geeks. It must be said that in 1977, a movie like Star Wars had no equivalent on the screens: spaceships traveling at the speed of light, an evil empire that a small group of rebels tries to overthrow, epic battles in space, heroic lightsaber fights between a Jedi knight and a Sith lord... Never seen before! Young Luke Skywalker finds himself embroiled in the rebel battle against the Empire when his uncle buys two droids by accident (R2D2 and C3PO) sent by Princess Leia to find the former Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Following the death of his family at the hands of the Empire, which is searching for these droids, and after learning that he possesses the Force powers used by the Jedi knights, Luke decides to accompany Obi-Wan and learn to master the Force. With the help of Han Solo, Chewbacca and Obi-Wan, Luke manages to rescue Princess Leia and escape Darth Vader and his stormtroopers aboard the Millennium Falcon to join the rebellion and destroy the Death Star.
